On april 1, a groundbreaking ceremony took place to mark the start of the construction of the onshore wind farm De Veenwieken.
Eelco Bots, director of Windunie Development, together with the councillor of Hardenberg (Jan ten Cate), the councillor of Ommen (Bart Jaspers Faijer) and Arthur Vermeulen of Raedthuys, symbolically hit the first pile into the ground.
The piling activities for the turbine foundations will continue over the coming 5 weeks. Windpark De Veenwieken is located between Dedemsvaart, Ommen en Hardenberg, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Ten Enercon type E-103 wind turbines will rise here. Six of the ten wind turbines are owned by ‘De Wieken’ (Windunie, Greenchoice en ABNAmro Energy Transition Fund) and 4 by Raedthuys Pure Energie. Source: Windparkdeveenwieken
