Foundation construction work to start at De Veenwieken Wind Farm

The piling activities for the foundations at De Veenwieken Wind Farm have been completed. Throughout the summer, contractor Meyer Sonderbau will build the concrete foundations.

The wind turbine components are expected to start arriving at the end of June with first installation activities following in July.

The  wind farm is located between Dedemsvaart, Ommen and Hardenberg, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. 10 Enercon, type E-103, 2.3 MW wind turbines will rise here. Each has a shaft height of 98 m and a rotor diameter of 103 m. De tip height is 149.5 m. Six are owned by De Wieken (Windunie, Greenchoice and ABNAmro Energy Transition Fund) and 4 by Raedthuys Pure Energie.
