Atlas Professionals joins Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports

Recruitment and HR services provider Atlas Professionals announced during the WindEurope Offshore event in Copenhagen that its has become a member of the Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports (AYOP), an association of companies and government bodies in the North Sea Canal region focused on the offshore extraction of gas & oil and wind energy.

This region could see many activities related to the upcoming Hollandse Kust Zuid offshore wind farms by Vattenfall. The Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports association promotes the region nationally and internationally as the business region for wind power, with a strong focus on offshore wind maintenance (including cable logistics), drilling projects for gas exploration, adjustments and maintenance of work vessels and platforms, and the disassembly of offshore constructions and vessels. In addition, the association supports its members in finding innovative business opportunities in the total offshore sector, and stimulates cooperation and knowledge exchange via member meetings and other activities. It currently has 79 members.

“This step is in line with our strategy to make the most of our ability to share and leverage on our experience in on- and offshore wind,” says Joost Pellis, Strategic Manager Renewables & Marine at Atlas.

“We are very pleased that Atlas Professionals has joined our association,” says Ron Davio, chairman of Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports. “Its services are an excellent addition for our members in view of the construction of the four Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farms by Vattenfall. Together with the other companies focused on personnel services, Atlas Professionals can support our members with activities that require lots of well-trained personnel such as wind turbine maintenance.”

Joost Pellis: “In addition to a high demand for qualified personnel, investments in knowledge sharing and the further dissemination of all career opportunities will be needed in the future. This involves activities such as informing and stimulating the current generation of students and potential employees from other sectors; the professionals of tomorrow.”
