Vattenfall is currently building an energy parc in the Van Pallandtpolder in Haringvliet, near the town of Middelharnis in the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee. In the first half of February the installation of the first of 6 turbines was completed.

Energiepark Haringvliet Zuid is a combination of solar and wind energy. It will feature 124,000 solar panels in an area of around 30 hectares and 6 wind turbines. Also included are 6 batteries, combined the size of a sea container, for energy storage.

The turbines are from German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex, type N117/3675. They have a tip height of 150 metres. The planned total power of the project is 54 MW; wind is responsible for around 22 MW. Vattenfall reached financial close at the end of 2018. The first preparatory work started early 2019. Completion of the full project is expected at the end of 2020.
