Reefy, Reefsystems and ILVO Flanders are the finalists of the 4th edition of the Offshore Wind Innovation Challenge. The candidates will present their solution for the 2020 challenges ‘The Perfect Biodegradable Reef’ and ‘Efficient Biodiversity Monitoring’ during the finals on Thursday 28 January at DOB Academy in Delft.
The annual Offshore Wind Innovation Challenge is organised by the community of Offshore Wind Innovators, TKI Wind op Zee and De Rijke Noordzee. In total, 13 solutions were submitted by national and international start-ups and organisations at the start of Innovation Challenge.
Reefy, Reefsystems and ILVO Flanders are the three candidates left. The finalists have passed the Bootcamp last November with great success. All have potential excellent solutions regarding the Innovation Challenges of “The Perfect Biodegradable Reef” or “Efficient Biodiversity Monitoring”.
The finals will be held in real-life for the finalists and partners at DOB Academy in Delft. An experienced jury will choose one winner. There will be a live stream openly accessible during the entire event.
After the Finals, the Finalists will discuss possible implementation of their innovation in the Offshore Innovation Lab. Wind Energy Magazine will once again report on the finals in the next edition of the magazine. Read here about the winner of the 2019 edition.
