The first wind turbine at the Ospeldijk Wind Farm in the municipality of Nederweert, province of Limburg is standing. On 13 April 2021, the rotor was installed. Ospeldijk will feature four Nordex Delta 4000 N149 turbines.
Ospeldijk Wind Farm is an initiative of the energy cooperative Zuidenwind and water company Waterleidingmaatschappij Limburg (WML) whereby WML owns 2 wind turbines and the other 2 turbines are owned by Zuidenwind.
German turbine manufacturer Nordex was contracted to supply 4 wind turbines from their latest Delta 4000 series. They are the Delta 4000 N149 type turbines. As reported earlier, Nordex selected Global Wind Service (GWS) to install the four turbines. M. Verschoor B.V. supplied the cranes for the lifting of the turbines.
The wind farm is expected to be fully operational in the summer 2021. The four turbines are expected to supply approximately 45 million kWh of green electricity annually. This is the equivalent of the energy consumption of around 16,000 households. Source: Zuidenwind.org
