SPT Offshore, a Dutch offshore contractor for suction pile anchors and foundations, and Chinese integrated energy power service provider Fujian Yongfu Power Engineering Co. (Fujian Yongfu) performed an official signing ceremony of a consortium research study.
The Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou was asked to host the session simultaneously taking place in Fuzhou, China and Woerden, The Netherlands. Consul General Michiel Bierkens delivered a speech to share his thoughts on their cooperation and congratulate them on their new agreement. President of Holland Home of Wind Energy, Arjen Schutten also provided a speech to show his support for the projects.
Fujian Yongfu and SPT Offshore have been working together closely since 2019. Together they have successfully installed 72 suction pile jacket foundations for the Changle Offshore Wind Power project in Zone A and C, in the east water area of Changle District, Fuzhou City. Located 31-50 km from shore, in water depths of 37 to 45 m, it is currently the farthest and deepest offshore wind farm in China.
With this achievement they set world records for the biggest single capacity, the largest number, the deepest water depth, the highest foundation height and the shortest construction period. Source: SPT Offshore
