Following the successful sea trials last month, Dutch shipping company Coastwise welcomed their first Monomaran crew tender ‘COS Master’ to their fleet this weekend.
The vessel was christened by mrs. Titia Siertsema, chairwoman of the board ‘Fonds Nieuwe Doen’. The “COS Master” will meet the increasing demand in the offshore wind industry.
The COS Monomaran crew tender’s optimised hull design combines the stability of a catamaran and the speed and fuel efficiency of a monohull, reports Coastwise. The vessel offers comfortable spacing for 30 man Industrial, and a crew of 5. The cruising speed is 25 knots.
The vessel was built by Next Generation Shipyards in Lauwersoog. Mid summer 2022 CoastWise Offshore Services hopes to welcome its 2nd Monomaran vessel ‘COS Mate’. Commercial management of both vessels will be done by Seazip Offshore Services.
