Dutch Heerema Marine Contractors has been awarded the contract to install offshore wind foundations for EnBW’s He Dreiht offshore wind farm.
Transport and installation of 64 monopiles and transition pieces are part of the project. Heerema will reduce noise pollution during operations by using the IHC IQIP double-walled noise mitigation system NMS-10,000, among other systems.
The He Dreiht wind farm is located in the German North Sea, about 110 kilometres west of Heligoland and 90 kilometres northwest of Borkum. He Dreiht is one of Europe’s largest planned offshore wind power projects, with a capacity of 900 MW and an expected start-up date of 2025.
