CrosswindHKN building Hollandse Kust Noord onshore service base in IJmuiden

CrossWindHKN, the company behind the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm’s development and operation, has begun work on the project’s onshore service base in IJmondhaven, Zeehaven IJmuiden.

According to CrossWindHKN, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco, the project’s onshore service base will support the project’s operational phase for 25 years. CrosswindHKN announced on social media that it is off to a strong start in its regional 2030 offshore wind growth plans.

CrossWindHKN will build 69 11-MW wind turbines for the Hollandse Kust Noord wind farm, which will be located about 18.5 kilometers off the coast of North Holland. CrossWindHKN expects Hollandse Kust Noord to be operational in 2023, with a capacity of 759 MW and an annual output of at least 3.3 TWh.
