Windpark Kroningswind on Goeree-Overflakkee has received its final wind turbine blade.
19 Vestas V117-4.2 MW wind turbines with rotor diameters of 117 meters, shaft heights of 91.5 meters, and tip heights of 150 meters make up the Kroningswind wind farm. Before being delivered to the owners of the wind farms, the wind turbines will undergo additional assembly and testing in the coming months.
Ten farmers came up with the idea for the wind farm in 2011. The wind farm’s majority owner is the Belgian infrastructure investment firm TINC as of 2019. By the end of 2022, the wind farm is anticipated to be fully operational. For the first sixteen years, energy company Eneco will purchase the electricity.
