Jumbo Offshore has started the TP transport & installation scope for the 2022 Yunlin offshore wind farm campaign.
The Jumbo Javelin is currently in Taiwan installing the first of 30 transition pieces in the Taiwan Strait, off the west coast, after mobilizing in Singapore.
For this wind farm, Jumbo’s scope is to transport and install a total of 80 TPs, each weighing more than 450 metric tonnes. The company should be more than halfway there by the end of this year, with some already installed in 2021.
wpd offshore subsidiary Yunneng Wind Power is the company behind the development of the Yunlin offshore wind project. The project is situated in water that is seven to thirty-five meters deep. The project, which covers an area of 82km2, will include 80 wind turbine generators (WTG) with a combined capacity of 640 MW rated power.
