Van der Vlist handles Windplan Groen port and transport activities

Van der Vlist has once more been appointed to handle the port and transportation services for the Province of Flevoland’s broad regional wind energy plan.

90 new wind turbines will be installed as part of Windplan Groen. These 90 wind turbines should be able to produce about 1.9 billion kWh annually when used collectively. That is the same amount of electricity utilized annually in the entire Flevoland province. For the first 45 wind turbines, Van der Vlist is the designated supplier.

More than 250 tower pieces and 100 80-meter wind blades must be moved as part of the project, and they will be shipped via the ports of Van der Vlist Moerdijk, Amsterdam, and Flevokust Port to their final location. Van der Vlist arranges and manages the unloading, storing, shipping, and road transportation.

Van der Vlist has project- and site managers for this wind turbine project who provide guidance from the beginning on logistics, feasibility studies, and engineering, among other things.
