TKF has awarded Vos Prodect a contract to provide the low Hang-off systems for the Hollandse Kust Noord (HKN) offshore wind farm.
To keep the wind turbine’s inter-array cables safe, Vos Prodect will provide a low Cable Hang-off solution. The design was settled on after extensive discussion with the cable provider. Timeline for shipment of the systems is set for the close of Q4 2022. Located 18.5 kilometers from Egmond aan Zee, this wind farm covers an area of 125 square kilometers.
CrossWind, a Shell and Eneco partnership, is responsible for developing the subsidy-free wind farm. By the time CrossWind expects the wind farm to be fully operational in 2023, it will have a total installed capacity of 759 MW, producing an estimated 3.3 TWh annually. The annual energy production is sufficient to meet the needs of over a million homes, or around 2.5% of the entire demand for energy in the Netherlands.
