KenzFigee has formally introduced its first up-tower crane system for offshore use at the WindEnergy Conference & Exhibition in Hamburg.
This GenHook up-tower crane can be used offshore to replace or repair generators and gearboxes. It has a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons.
There was a need in the industry for a more effective means of handling significant component exchanges and repairs to offshore wind turbines, which led to the design and introduction of this offshore rated up-tower crane.
The GenHook up-tower crane is simple to install by the WTG nacelle service crane due to its modular design and small weight. The GenHook can be constructed in minutes and has a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons, making it possible to repair generators and gearboxes without removing them from the nacelle.
