Dutch steel manufacturer reported that the first TP-less monopiles for the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm are ready.
Sif will manufacture 70 TP-less monopiles for the 759 MW Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm, a project by CrossWind, a joint-venture between Shell and Eneco. The monopiles have a length of 74.5 meter and diameters ranging from 7, 7.8 and 8.2 meter. Sif will use 65 kton of steel for their production.
The monopiles are produced at Sif’s manufacturing facility at Maasvlakte, Rotterdam. From here they will be transported to the construction site, located at approximately 18.5 km off the coast at Egmond aan Zee, at water depths between 18 and 25 meters. They will support the Siemens Gamesa 11 MW offshore wind turbines. Source: Sif
On Thursday October 13th from 13.00 to 13.30, CrossWind will organize an online meeting about Hollandse Kust Noord.
