Next Thursday, 15 December, the winner of the permit tender for the 750 MW offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust (west) Wind Farm Site (WFS) VI will be announced. This was confirmed by a spokesman of RVO today.
The award decision will be announced after 6 PM. The tender for the 750 MW Hollandse Kust (west) WFS VI is a comparative assessment on ecological measures combined with a financial bid. Hollandse Kust (west) VI is one of two sites in the Hollandse Kust West wind energy area which covers around 176 km2 and allows for the development of 1,400 MW wind power (700 MW each). Site decisions were published in the Government Gazette earlier this year. Tenders for both sites opened on April 14, 2022, and closed on May 12, 2022.
On 10 November 2022, Minister for Climate and Energy Rob Jetten announced the winner of the permit for Wind Farm Site VII of the Hollandse Kust (west) Wind Farm Zone. The permit has been awarded to Oranje Wind Power II, a subsidiary of RWE AG. This tender was a comparative assessment on system integration combined with a financial bid.
