More than 40 businesses took part in a trade mission to Vietnam from November 28 to November 30, 2022. The trip was overseen by Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher.
The mission was conducted during the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE). This occasion was staged in Ho Chi Minh City by Eurocham Vietnam.
Offshore wind
Vietnam’s economy is expanding quickly, and as a result, its energy needs are rising. Vietnam has ambitious plans for offshore wind, with 7GW in 2030, in order to fulfill this rising demand. Through G2G, K2K, and B2B operations, the Netherlands helped Vietnam for a number of years to start this.
Tjerk Suurenbroek from Wind & Water Works spoke at GWEC – Vietnam Windpower 2022 in Hanoi and took part in two panels at GEFE in Ho Chi Minh on supply chain & energy port development.
The Netherlands intends to keep assisting Vietnam in its efforts to manage its energy resources sustainably in the upcoming years.
