Windbase designs wind turbine foundations for Aspiravi

Dutch wind turbine foundation design specialist Windbase has made several foundation designs for green energy developer Aspiravi. The foundations will be used in five wind farms spread throughout Belgium.

Windbase was responsible for the advanced design method for the foundations and quality control during the execution. According to the Dutch company, their design offers great savings in CO2 emissions and in materials and costs when compared to a traditional foundation design.

The wind farms are planned to be built in the coming half year. The first wind farm is located in Sainte-Ode Wallonië and will feature five Nordex turbines with a combined power of 20 MW, Windbase mentions. Contractor H4A is responsible for the construction of the foundations. Windbase and Aspiravi have been working together for over ten years now.
