Herman Senior, a Dutch-based provider of tug and workboat services, has bought all of the stock in ST Marine Support, a reputable marine and offshore service provider.
The purchase comprises ST’s three current vessels as well as a Damen Multi Cat 3313SD that will be delivered at the end of March this year. The acquisition became official on February 23, and it became effective backwards on January 1, 2023.
By virtue of this arrangement, ST Marine Support joins the Herman Senior corporate family, uniting the two fleets.
Fleet: the ideal fit
With this acquisition, Herman Senior’s fleet has grown from 8 to 12 vessels, including the brand-new Damen Multi Cat 3313SD that is now being built. These four more workboats help the company’s position there as well as in the larger maritime industry. The expanded company will now service clients across three continents: South America, Europe, and Asia.
Herman Sr. continues to run a Shoalbuster and Multicat fleet made entirely of Damen boats, which is interesting because ST Marine Support also owned Damen workboats.
Herman Sr. claims that there is currently a lack of workboats because of the numerous projects that are removing many of the readily available resources from the worldwide market.
