Sif Group building monopiles for second stage of Dogger Bank

For the second stage of the Dogger Bank project, which is being built by SSE Renewables, Equinor, and Vårgrønn, Sif Group is already building monopiles.

The first monopile of Dogger Bank A was successfully installed, the company stated about six months ago.

Sif will create 95 monopiles for the GE Haliade X turbines needed for this phase. 95 transitional pieces will also be produced by it and its collaborator Smulders.

Initial power from the second phase should be available in the summer of 2024.

Dogger Bank Windfarm, a partnership between SSE Renewables and Equinor, is the company behind the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm. The wind farm is being built in stages and is more than 130 kilometres off the coast of Yorkshire in water that is between 18 and 63 meters deep. If finished, they will constitute the world’s biggest offshore wind farm.
