Coastwise celebrates christening ceremony of their third Monomaran crew tender

Dutch maritime service provider Coastwise Offshore Services celebrated the christening ceremony of their third Monomaran crew tender ‘COS Mariner’ at Next Generation Shipyard in Lauwersoog yesterday.

The ‘COS Mariner‘ Monomaran-Endurance class NG2727 meets the increasing demand for efficient and comfortable transfer of people and goods in the offshore wind farms. The innovative design combines the advantages of a traditional catamaran and a monohull. The aluminum Monomaran Crew Tenders have a length of 27 meters, can accommodate 30 IP, and carry 15 to 22 tons of cargo, the company states.

The ‘COS Mariner’ joins the sister ships ‘COS Master‘, added in December 2021, and ‘COS Mate‘ added in September 2022, in the fleet of Coastwise Offshore Services. All three vessels were built at Next Generation Shipyards.

The vessels are employable for both O&M activities and survey activities. In the coming week the vessel will be prepared for its first assignment in the offshore wind in France. Source: Coastwise Offshore Services
