Twindo Holding B.V., an Amsterdam-based wind energy tech startup, has received a €300,000 convertible loan from Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland to develop their information platform for wind farms.
Twindo is developing an innovative information platform whereby maintenance and other operational tasks in wind farm management can be carried out more efficiently.
The system also predicts project success more accurately and effectively through machine learning, by capturing and using data. Twindo does this by focusing on the latest challenges in wind energy: human data input combined with challenging variables such as weather forecasts, and how these affect how stakeholders plan and deliver complex projects.
According to the company, the system will allow companies to build, service and maintain wind turbines faster, reducing planning and management administration by up to 90%. This should make further scaling up of wind energy easier.
The investment from the Innovation Fund North Holland will be used to develop their proof-of-concept product. This product will be used in their pilot projects throughout the Netherlands and the world by market-leading companies, the company says. Source: innovatiefondsnoordholland.nl
