The Rolldock Star, an 8000-ton Dutch-flagged vessel, has brought the parts of Provence Grand Large’s planned floating offshore wind turbines to the Quai Gloria in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône.
The delivery of these by Siemens Gamesa designed and produced components marks a significant accomplishment for the first floating offshore wind farm in France.
At the end of the summer, the three wind turbines will be put in place 17 kilometres from the Gulf of Fos coast. The project, which is supported by EDF Renewables, Enbridge, and partners CPP Investments | Investissements RPC, is a significant technical undertaking at the service of the energy transition.
