Dutch-Belgian consortium nets EPCI platform deal for Gennaker wind farm in Baltic Sea

The HSI partnership was awarded an EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation) platform contract by 50Hertz for the Gennaker wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, including jackets.

HSM Offshore Energy, Smulders, and Iv-Offshore & Energy make up the HSI consortium. Gennaker will be the biggest and most potent offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea, with a total capacity of 927 MW.

This consortium was already given the Ostwind 3 High Voltage AC-platform (300MW) and its jacket by German grid operator 50Hertz last year. Almost a million homes will have access to enough green electricity thanks to Ostwind 3 and Gennaker 1 and 2.

The substations and jackets’ engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning are handled by HSM Offshore Energy, Smulders, and Iv-Offshore & Energy. These platforms’ engineering has already begun.
