First pile driven for Windpark Oeverwind

One of the two wind turbines in the Oeverbos recreation area along the Scheur in Vlaardingen had its first pile driven for its foundation at the start of this week.

The first of 24 piles, when combined, will serve as the base for the first wind turbine in the Oeverbos. There will be a total of two wind turbines installed here.

The two wind turbines were started by the cooperatives Vlaardings Energie Collectief (VEC), a neighborhood energy group with solar and wind energy projects, and De Windvogel. On behalf of the client, Lighthouse Projects BV manages projects, contracts, and construction.

The contaminated soil and the weak sewage pressure pipeline in the leisure area are the causes of this expensive building in the Delfland dike.

The second half of this year is set aside for the construction of wind turbines of the Vestas V117 type, each measuring 80 meters in shaft height, 140 meters in tip height, and 117 meters in rotor diameter.
