Eneco appoints Karen de Lathouder as new Chief Operating Officer Assets

Eneco’s Supervisory Board has appointed Karen de Lathouder as Chief Operating Officer Assets (COO-A) and member of the Board of Management with effect from 1 November.

Karen de Lathouder (1977) joined BP in 2017 where she held various roles. She is currently as CEO for BP’s Dutch branch responsible for the Dutch businesses. Previously, Karen worked for ORPIC, Akzo Nobel and Shell in, among others, Denmark, Oman, Germany and the UK. Karen de Lathouder holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Delft and obtained her MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Karen de Lathouder says: ‘I look back on a fantastic period at bp where I was able to be part of the biggest transition of our time. Eneco enables me to pursue my personal sustainability ambitions and contribute to the implementation of Eneco’s One Planet plan, which aims to be climate neutral by 2035. I look forward to realizing these ambitions together with the new colleagues.
