Boskalis’ Bokalift 2 mobilises in Port of Amsterdam for Moray West OWF job

TMA Terminal Amsterdam has welcomed Boskalis’ DP crane vessel Bokalift 2 at their terminal in the Port of Amsterdam.

The 231-meter-long crane vessel is mobilizing for the next project: installing XXL monopiles and offshore substations for the Moray West offshore wind farm in Scotland. With its 4,000-ton crane the Bokalift 2 will install the monopiles using its new upending hinge and motion-compensated pile gripper.

Boskalis won a multidisciplinary contract for this 882 MW offshore wind project in February this year from Ocean Winds, the 50:50 joint venture between EDP Renewables and ENGIE.  Moray West offshore wind farm will comprise sixty Siemens Gamesa SG 14-222 DD 14.7 MW wind turbines and 2 substations on XXL monopile foundations.
