The last blade for the 10th wind turbine of the Dutch onshore wind farm Hoge Vaart Zuid was hoisted yesterday. This completes the construction of all wind turbines for this wind farm.
Hoge Vaart Zuid Wind Farm is located in Eastern Flevoland, along the waterway Hoge Vaart, in the area between the nearby Flevo Ventum Wind Farm and the railway line between Dronten and Zwolle. The wind farm is a project by Pure Energie and comprises of 10 Vestas V162 wind turbines, with a hub height of 166 metres, a rotor diameter of 162 metres and a tip height of 247 metres.
Construction began in April this year. When fully tested and operational, the turbines are jointly expected to produce over 200 million kWh per year.
Windplan Groen
The wind farm is part of Windplan Groen, a large wind project in Eastern Flevoland in the municipality of Dronten. Besides Hoge Vaart Zuid, Pure Energie also built the Oldebroekertocht, Hondtocht Zuid and Windpark Flevo Ventum wind farms in this area. The latter wind farm is owned by Flevo Ventum BV, Pure Energie took care of construction. Flevo Ventum has also been completed. Hondtocht Zuid is still under construction. Source: Pure Energie
