BLIX Consultancy BV, a consultancy company in onshore and offshore wind energy that was founded in the Netherlands, is now officially becoming AFRY after having been acquired by AFRY as in February this year.
Founded in Utrecht in 2009, BLIX has since grown to become a leading provider of expertise in the renewable energy sector. Over the past decade, the company’s highly specialised team of in-house experts and associated freelancers has developed a strong portfolio of around 300 projects, opened an office in Taiwan, agencies in South-Korea, and Japan, and helped with the realisation of almost 50GW of offshore and onshore wind and solar energy assets.
Their consultancy services cover all stages of a wind power project, including feasibility, development, engineering, construction, operation, maintenance, repowering, and decommissioning, making BLIX a one-stop-shop for offshore and onshore wind projects. Moreover, the BLIX team has worked closely with governments, developers, asset owners, and the supply chain, giving them the unique experience to provide strategic advice.
Sharing similar values, objectives and targets, the BLIX team complements AFRY’s international pool of experts in renewable energy and contributes to expanding the broad range of services and solutions to foster decarbonisation and enable the achievement of net-zero emissions.
