Sif and Smulders have partnered with German engineering and design consultancy Jörss – Blunck – Ordemann (JBO) to revive the Tripod.
The partnerhip is leveraging JBO’s expertise in original Tripod design acquired through their acquisition in 2022 of Offshore Wind Technologie (OWT), well known in the onshore and offshore wind energy industry as an engineering consultancy for steel construction.
This collaboration allows the companies to combine fabrication skills with detailed Tripod expertise, taking its development to a new level.
Previously, manufacturing studies revealed the Tripod’s unique niche potential for specific soil and climate conditions, distinct from traditional solutions like monopiles and jackets. Source: Sif Group
