GustoMSC completes 1600 mt leg crane installation on Cadeler’s Wind Orca

GustoMSC reached a milestone last night with the installation of the boom for the 1600 mt leg crane onboard Cadeler’s offshore wind installation vessel Wind Orca.

The successful installation of the boom at the quayside of Mammoetnboard Cadeler’s Wind Orca, marks the completion of the 1600 mt leg crane.

Now that all crane components are securely in place, the GustoMSC crew is gearing up for the next phase, focusing on the commissioning of the crane and preparing for the installation of the boom on Wind Osprey.

The installation of the 1600 mt leg crane is part of of the crane upgrade for the jack up vessel Wind Orca. It replaces the previous 1200 mt crane which was removed in November last year.

The upgrade is needed to position the Cadeler fleet in the forefront of transport and installation of next-generation offshore wind turbines for years to come.
