Iver appoints Maarten Koudenburg as new CEO

Iver – Experts in Wind (Iver), Independent Service Provider (ISP) for wind turbines in the Netherlands, has announced Maarten Koudenburg as its new CEO. He takes over the role from founder and CEO Sjoerd Bartlema from 1 March. This marks the company’s next step towards further growth.

Following the successful merger between Certion and F&B – and the subsequent acquisitions of Solvento and Mocotech – founder and CEO Sjoerd Bartlema will focus on commercial activities within the company. Maarten Koudenburg will take over as the new CEO, bringing with him a lot of (international) experience.

Sjoerd Bartlema: “In recent years, we have established ourselves as a market leader in the Netherlands. We took our first steps abroad and are now on the eve of further international growth. As founder, I am incredibly proud of that. To accelerate the professionalisation of the organisation and international growth, we have decided to strengthen Iver’s management team with a new CEO who has extensive experience in this field. The focus on commerce also remains important, which has led me to fully focus on that.”

Management and growth ambitions

Sjoerd Bartlema will remain active in Iver’s management team, together with Maarten Koudenburg (CEO), Jos van Dijk (CFO) and Robin van Buchem (COO). In this composition, they will continue to expand the organisation in the coming years. The organisation’s course remains unchanged. By joining forces at national and international level, Iver aims to increase decisiveness and efficiency.

Iver focuses on the entire life cycle of their clients’ wind turbines. The company’s services include service, maintenance, assembly, dismantling, blade services, inspection, consultancy and the sale of used parts. This range of services will be broadened in the coming years to further unburden clients.

Maarten Koudenburg, former Managing Director at Heineken Netherlands Supply, commented, “It is an honour to take on the role of CEO at Iver. After working at Heineken for 23 years, I was looking for a scale-up where you can really connect with all employees. When Iver came my way, the honest, pure and proud culture immediately appealed to me. I also think sustainability is very important; being concerned with the next generations and the future. I am incredibly looking forward to starting and being able to support this team of craftsmen in the next phase of growth and innovation.” Source: Iver
