RVO has recently opened the tender for geotechnical surveys in the Doordewind Wind Farm Zone, the final zone designated under the Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap 2030/2031.
The Doordewind Wind Farm Zone is located approximately 60 km off the north coast of the Netherlands, north of the isle of Ameland. It consists of two sites, each with a planned installed capacity of 2 GW. Since mid-2023, 2 Metocean Measuring Campaigns have been underway in the zone.
Recently, desk studies have been completed and geophysical surveys by Fugro have started in the area. These consist of 3 surveys; a 2D UHRS survey for the western part of the zone, a 3D UHRS survey, and an additional seabed survey for the eastern part of the zone. The Geophysical surveys will run to end summer 2024.
