Innovative TensionMaster system TM-1800

BKV was announced award winner in the category Innovation. Together with manufacturer Dromec, BKV has developed the unique and innovative TensionMaster system TM-1800. This system unburd the crane and lifting wire when they attach heavy loads at great heights, such as when dismantling wind turbines. It also ensures continuous tension on the lifting wire, even when there is no load hanging in it, so that the lifting wire become always neatly wrapped around the drum. A unique innovation.

Director Daan Deij: “A wonderful recognition for a unique innovation. At BKV we like to work in a progressive and innovative way and this is a great reward for that.”

Dutch companies with wind excellence finalists

Among the finalists were also other Dutch companies with wind energy related activities. Ending up as a finalist in the same category as BKV was Huisman Equipment. The all-electric, road-transportable Huisman Ringer Crane excels in wind installations, with its impressive capacity, large lifting height, low ground pressure and fast operation due to its modular design.

Mammoet Europe was finalist in the category Cranes Lattice Boom. Mammoet replaced the leg cranes on two offshore wind vessels, using a PTC ringer crane, combined with an 800 tonne Liebherr crawler to improve stability and control.
