Boskalis has sent out their cable-laying vessel BOKA Ocean to Ørsted’s offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund 3 in the German part of the North Sea again.
The carousel on the deck of Boskalis’ youngest cable-laying vessel stores more than 40 kilometers of inter-array cable, which is being installed in 32 pieces to connect the wind turbines in the 913 MW offshore wind farm.
The cable-laying project has been divided into several campaigns. Earlier this year, the BOKA Ocean already installed 24 cables for Borkum Riffgrund 3, and later this year the vessel will carry out a third campaign, installing another 15 cables.
