Royal HaskoningDHV acquires Dutch renewable energy consultancy Pondera Consult

Royal HaskoningDHV announced today the acquisition of Pondera Consult – consultants for renewable energy projects with headquarters in the Netherlands and branches in Asia, in response to the growing demand for knowledge and experience in the field of renewable energy solutions.

The joint ambition is to further enhance their position as leading consultant in the field of renewable energy and integrated energy systems. Together with Pondera, Royal HaskoningDHV will continue to grow and strengthen its offering to clients navigating the energy transition, from offshore wind generation to hydrogen production and from energy transports to energy storage.

As a recognised pioneer in the industry, Pondera will continue to use its own brand name for the time being, as part of Royal HaskoningDHV.

In addition to its home market of the Netherlands, Pondera has been active in Asia for years. Earlier this year, the company announced that it will support in a partnership to provide consulting services for the Wando Geumil Offshore Wind Project in South Korea. The consulting firm is also involved in offshore wind development in Indonesia. In recent years, the company has also focused on offshore wind developments in the Baltic states.
